Adding the Hawkes Tools to a Moodle Course (Version 4.5)

If using Moodle Version 4.5, the Hawkes Tools may be located in different area in Moodle. Follow the steps below to add the tools.

1. Enter your Moodle course and on the top-right select Edit Mode.

2. Click More > LTI External Tools.

3. Locate the Hawkes Learning entry and toggle on under "Show in activity chooser".

4. Return to your course home page and select +Add Section.

5. Click on the pencil icon next to the section name and edit the name to "Hawkes Learning".

6. Click +Add an activity or resource.

7. Select the Hawkes Tool from the activity chooser.

  • Do not click Select Content as this will produce an error message.
8. Click Save and return to course at the bottom of the page.

The Hawkes Learning tool should now be added to your course page. This link will launch the Hawkes Sync Tool for instructors and will launch Student Single Sign on for students in Moodle.
