This presentation will introduce a Class Journey Map, a creative, low-cost teaching innovation designed to address three common classroom challenges: encouraging regular classroom attendance without formal attendance-taking, sustaining student engagement, and helping students remain organized and keep track of their course progress. The presenter will describe the design and implementation of the activity, highlight its pedagogical benefits, and offer practical tips for instructors interested in adopting the approach. The “map” can be adapted to a wide range of disciplines and course formats and requires minimal instructor preparation beyond the initial design of the “map.”
