Moving beyond static code demonstrations, the statistical software R, in connection with Quarto, can strengthen learning through dynamic, active learning experiences - easily accessible to students on the web. This presentation focuses on teaching use cases, including interactive lecture slides with live-editable code, dynamic diagrams, and self-checking quizzes with built-in hints and solutions. While centered on R, the talk also highlights a free immersive Virtual Reality application that helps students intuitively visualize two-predictor regressions in 3D. Finally, it demonstrates a streamlined method for turning course learning outcomes into AI conversation starters for post-lecture review.
