This session explores how experiential learning, community engagement, and innovation can transform student success in higher education. Using initiatives from several Sociology courses—including The Golden Hearts Project, mental health advocacy programming, and housing policy engagement—participants will examine strategies for connecting classroom theory to real-world impact. The presentation highlights student leadership, workforce readiness, and civic responsibility through service-learning and collaborative community partnerships. Attendees will gain practical ideas for designing meaningful, high-impact learning experiences that empower students and strengthen communities.
