Simply inserting the CD into your CD-ROM drive will start the installation. However, if this doesn’t happen, follow these steps:
| 1. | Insert the Hawkes Learning CD #1. |
| 2. | From the Windows Start Menu, click on "My Computer" for Windows XP or "Computer" for Windows Vista / 7. |
| 3. | Right-click on the CD/DVD-ROM drive (the icon looks like a CD-ROM). |
| 4. | From the menu, left-click on Explore. |
| 5. | Double-click on the Setup.exe program (the icon looks like the Hawkes logo). |
| 7. | When prompted for the Hawkes Course ID, enter the ID for your school which can be found on the CourseID Lookup Page |
| 8. | If you chose a "Complete" install, you will be prompted to insert CD2 to install additional multimedia files, but you will not be prompted to insert either CD while accessing lessons within the software. If you chose a "Compact" install, you will not be prompted to insert CD2 during the installation process, but you will be prompted to insert CD1 or CD2 to view the multimedia content when accessing lessons within the software. |
| 9. | An icon for the Hawkes Learning Software will be placed on your Desktop. |
