To correct error 1009, perform the following steps:

CHANGE REGIONAL SETTINGS
 

Windows XP:

1.From the Start menu, click on Control Panel.
2.Click on "Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options".
3.Click on "Regional and Language Options".
4.Click on the "Advanced" tab.
5.Set the language for non-unicode programs to English (United States), then click OK.
6.Save the changes and restart your computer.

 

Windows Vista:

1.From the Start menu, click on Control Panel.
2.Click on "Clock, Language, and Region".
3.Click on "Regional and Language Options".
4.Click on the Administrative tab.
5.Click on the "Change system locale..." button.
6.Set the language for non-unicode programs to English (United States), then click OK.
7.Save the changes and restart your computer.

 

Windows 7:

1.From the Start menu, click on Control Panel -> Regional and Language.
2.Click on the Administrative tab.
3.Click on the "Change system locale..." button.
4.Set the language for non-unicode programs to English (United States), then click OK.
5.Save the changes and restart your computer.
