To correct error 1009, perform the following steps:
CHANGE REGIONAL SETTINGS
Windows XP:
| 1. | From the Start menu, click on Control Panel. |
| 2. | Click on "Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options". |
| 3. | Click on "Regional and Language Options". |
| 4. | Click on the "Advanced" tab. |
| 5. | Set the language for non-unicode programs to English (United States), then click OK. |
| 6. | Save the changes and restart your computer. |
Windows Vista:
| 1. | From the Start menu, click on Control Panel. |
| 2. | Click on "Clock, Language, and Region". |
| 3. | Click on "Regional and Language Options". |
| 4. | Click on the Administrative tab. |
| 5. | Click on the "Change system locale..." button. |
| 6. | Set the language for non-unicode programs to English (United States), then click OK. |
| 7. | Save the changes and restart your computer. |
Windows 7:
| 1. | From the Start menu, click on Control Panel -> Regional and Language. |
| 2. | Click on the Administrative tab. |
| 3. | Click on the "Change system locale..." button. |
| 4. | Set the language for non-unicode programs to English (United States), then click OK. |
