| 1. | Start Trend Micro Internet Security by selecting it from the all programs list or double clicking on this icon in the taskbar. |

| 2. | Click Personal Firewall Controls in the left pane. |
| 3. | Under Personal Firewall, click Settings. |
| 4. | On the Personal Firewall Settings screen, make sure there is a checkmark in the Activate the Personal Firewall checkbox. |
| 5. | Click Advanced Settings. |
| 6. | Click on the Program Control tab. |
To modify an existing program rule:
| a. | Highlight the program whose access you wish to modify then click on the Edit button (This button should be grayed out until you make a selection). |
| b. | Then highlight a Connection and click Edit. |
| c. | Set the Firewall Response field to Allow. |
| d. | Click OK then OK again. |
| e. | Repeat steps (a) – (d) for any other programs you need to modify. |
7. If rules have not been created for the specified Hawkes programs above, you may want to create them as a precautionary measure:
To create a new program rule:
| b. | In the “Description” box, type the name of the application you wish to allow. |
| c. | For “Target”, choose Select a program. |
| d. | Click Browse and locate the program you wish to grant access. |
| e. | For “Settings”, select Simple. |
| f. | For “Firewall Response”, select Allow. |
| h. | Perform steps (a) – (g) for each program to be configured. |
