Step 5: Configure the security software

Does your computer have security software that includes a firewall? A firewall prevents unauthorized (or unrecognized) software from accessing the Internet. If the firewall doesn't include the Hawkes courseware in its list of approved applications, it might be automatically denying access.

The security software must be configured to allow the Hawkes software to access the Internet. We have provided directions for some of the more common security software. If your security software is not listed, please contact technical support for assistance.

The following Hawkes Learning Systems programs require access to the Internet:
