| 1. | Start Comodo Internet Security by selecting it from the Windows Start Menu -> All Programs list or by double clicking on this icon in the taskbar: |

| 2. | Select the FIREWALL option near the top of the window, then Advanced on the left-side of the window. Next choose the first option, Network Security Policy. |
To modify an existing program rule:
| a. | Find the program being blocked in the list on the Application Rules tab. |
| b. | Highlight the line beneath the path name of the program marked with a black ‘X’ inside a red circle. |
| c. | With this line highlighted, click the Edit button. |

| d. | Under the General heading, change the Action setting from Block to Allow. |
| e. | Click Apply. |
| f. | Repeat steps (a) – (e) for any other blocked programs. |
3. If rules have not been created for the specified Hawkes programs above, you may want to create them as a precautionary measure.
To create a new program rule:
| a. | Click the Add button on the right-side of the window. |
| b. | Select the Application Path by browsing to the location of the application (click Select then choose browse) and opening it. |
| c. | Under Network Access Rules, select the ‘Use a Predefined Policy’ radio button then select Trusted Application from the drop down box. |

| d. | Click Apply. |
| e. | Repeat steps (a) – (d) for each program that needs access. |
