Enhancements

• The format and appearance of exported and printed WebTests have been improved.
• The Hint screens in the lesson on finding t-values have been updated. This lesson is titled “6.5 Find the Value of t” in Classic Statistics, “10.5a Find the Value of t” in Discovering Statistics, and “6.5 Finding t Values Using the Student t-distributions” in Beginning Statistics.
• The units given in many lessons have been updated from “lbs per sq. inch” to “psi.”
• The Explain Error screens are now more thorough for bar graphs and Pareto charts. These improvements are in the lesson titled “2.2a Graphical Displays of Data: Pie Charts and Bar Graphs” in Classic Statistics and Beginning Statistics and “ch 3b Graphical Displays of Data: Pie Charts and Bar Graphs” in Discovering Statistics.
• The data values given in the hypothesis testing lessons have been improved.
• The Explain Error screens and the appearance of some of the graphs have been improved in the lesson on analyzing graphs. This lesson is titled “2.3 Analyzing Graphs” in Classic Statistics and Beginning Statistics and “ch 3d Analyzing Graphs” in Discovering Statistics.
• The notation has been changed to use 1 – p instead of q in the lessons on confidence intervals and hypothesis testing for two proportions. These lessons are titled “10.1 Hypothesis Testing – Two Proportions (Large Independent Samples)” and “A.1 Comparing Two Proportions (Large, Independent Samples)” in Classic Statistics, “12.5 Comparing Two Population Proportions” and “A.7 Comparing Two Proportions (Large, Independent Samples)” in Discovering Statistics, “9.4 Comparing Two Proportions (Large, Independent Samples)” and “11.4 Hypothesis Testing – Two Proportions (Large Independent Samples)” in Beginning Statistics.
• Some of the problem headings were updated for clarification in the lesson on classifying data by the level of measurement. This lesson is titled “1.2 Level of Measurement” in Classic Statistics, “2.5 - 2.6 Level of Measurement” in Discovering Statistics, and “1.2 Data Classification” in Beginning Statistics.
• Some of the problem headings were updated for clarification in the lesson on hypothesis testing for two population variances. This lesson is titled “10.5 Hypothesis Testing – Two Population Variances” in Classic Statistics, “A.10 Hypothesis Testing – Two Population Variances” in Discovering Statistics, and “11.5 Hypothesis Testing – Two Population Variances” in Beginning Statistics.

• There is additional tolerance for answers calculated using alternate methods in the lesson on ANOVA Regression. This lesson is titled “11.5 ANOVA Regression” in Classic Statistics, “13.8b ANOVA Regression” in Discovering Statistics, and “A.7 ANOVA Regression” in Beginning Statistics.
• Answers that are calculated using Minitab are now accepted in the lesson on c-charts. This lesson is titled “13.3 c-Charts” in Classic Statistics, “A.12 c-Charts” in Discovering Statistics, and “A.10 c-Charts” in Beginning Statistics.
